Introduction
There exists a Memorandum of Understanding between the CWCB and the Division of Water
Resources (DWR) related to the State's satellite monitoring program for streamflow gaging stations in
Colorado. A number of important new and on-going activities within this program have taken place
that may be of high interest to the Board and to the public.

Discussion
A staff member from the Division of Water Resources will make a brief presentation to the Board
regarding the status of several key activities related to the monitoring program in Colorado. Relevant
topics will include streamgage maintenance, replacement and refurbishment as well as flood hardening
activities. Technology items such as High Data Rate equipment and the ALERT system will also be
discussed. Lastly, DWR staff has been asked to highlight program accountability activities along with
program benefits.

Conclusion
Staff is not requesting Board action on this agenda item at this time. This item is for informational
purposes only, and DWR/CWCB staff members are available to answer any questions that may arise
related to this item.
