NO. 175 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 state centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />May 5, 1981 <br />R E SOL UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Floodplain <br />Information Report, North Clear Creek, Gregory Gulch, Chase Gulch, <br />Black Hawk, Colorado," dated June 1980, has been prepared by Owen <br />Ayres and Associates, Inc., at the request of the city of Black <br />Hawk and the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Black Hawk has requested the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain <br />areas as set forth in the afOresaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along <br />any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after desig- <br />nation and approval by the Colorado Water conservation BOard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 5th day of May, 1981, that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being inun- <br />dated by a 100-year flood as described by the floodwater surface <br />elevations and profiles in said report; and <br />
