I

I

2655

COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING
RID. 532, State Services Building
Denver 3, Colorado

September 22, 1961

The meeting was called to order at 10:00 A. M. by Vice-
Chairman Stapleton.

MR. STAPLETON:

"Gentlemen, we will call this regular
meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation
Board to order. It is rather a sad one since
this is the last meeting we will have with
Larry Sparks for some time. He has promised
to write to us from far-off, interesting
places such as Berlin, London, Moscow, and
so on. n

MR. SPARKS:

"I'm trying to get on the Jack Paar show."

MR. STAPLETON:

"You are a little too late for that, I'm
afraid. I don't think they'll be repeating
it.

We do not have any minutes to approve at
this meeting. Mrs. Keating has had so much
to do in connection with Mr. Sparks' departure
that we do not have the draft of the minutes
of the last meeting but they will be mailed
out in about a week or ten days?"

MRS. KEATING:

"The first of next week, I've only 20
pages left to do."

MR. STAPLETON:

"She called up and asked whether I wanted
her to work all night and I said no, that I
didn't think the minutes were that important.
They were interesting, but not that important.
So we'll have no minutes for this meeting and
I think we might as well go into the agenda.
The first item is the budget for '62-'63 and
all members of the Board have had copies of it
and I'll let Larry continue with that dis-
cussion."

MR. SPARKS:

"Do we need additional copies of the bud-
get? We have some more in the office."
