The purpose of this l<..-ltI..'T is to ofIicially transmit the Colorado Division of Wildlife's (CDOW) opinion <br />regarding the Req uest for Approval of an injury with mitigation plan for the Blue River in Summit County. <br />The Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) has requested the CDOW to provide an anal)"lis and an <br />opinion regarding the proposed mitigation plan and the proposed flow sharing agreement for the impacted <br />reach of the Blue River based on the stream habitat improvement work completed by Queen of the River <br />Fish""...", Consultants on properly owned by S.G. Ccmpany-Mt. Powell Ranch. <br /> <br />The Blue River is located in western Colnmdo, near the Tuwn ofSilvl..-rthumc. The CWCB currently holds <br />several inSlre3lll How rights on the Blue River. Case No. 5-87CW298 is the subject ofthis mitigation plan <br />and is dot-Teed for 125 cfs (May I - Septe:mber 30), 90 efs (October] - November 30), 85 cfs (Deecmber I - <br />F"bruary 29) and 90 efs (March 1 - April 30), from the confluence of Slate Creek to the inlet of Grccn <br />Mountain Reservoir, a distance of approximately 7 miles. The reach of ~trcam covered by this now-sharing <br />proposal hegins at the High-Miller Diteh and extends downstream approximately 1:\,200 feet. The CPOW <br />and of the River Fisheries Consultants collected additional stream cross-section data within this inslream <br />flow reach in 2005.
