The estimated total cost of the project is $1,900,000, Please <br />see the attached project summary and map, <br /> <br />Backaround <br />The SIDC, located in Boulder County, operates the Supply Ditch for the benefit of the <br />shareholders by providing direct flow irrigation water, The Supply Ditch diverts from 51, Vrain <br />Creek near L.yons and delivers water through a 15 -mile ditch system to the 8,500-acre service <br />area as a partial supply. The Supply Ditch operates without and equalizer reservoir and it is <br />difficult to control direct flow deliveries, The SIDC has an opportunity to acquire a perpetual <br />easement to use the Knoth Reservoir as well as a conditional water right to store 542 acre-feel. <br />The reservoir would be used to equalize ditch flows and store the conditional decree, The <br />Company would pay the cost of the rehabilitation as a condition of acquiring these rights, <br /> <br />Feasibility StUdies <br />Duane Smith, P,E., (Smith Geothechnical, Fort Collins), has completed the Feasibility Study, The <br />study includes an assessment of alternatives available for rehabilitation of the Knoth Reservoir <br />Dam. <br /> <br />The Supplv Irrlaatlna Ditch Company <br />The SIDC is a mutual ditch company and a non'proflt corporation registered in the State of <br />Colorado. There are 160 shareholders and 400 shares of stock. The SIDC has the power to set <br />annual assessments to be paid by the shareholders, the power to cut off water deliveries to <br />shareholders that fall to pay their assessments, and the power to offer stock for sale to pay <br />back assessments. <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
