Included in the project is the construction of several pump stations for water delivery. The project is located 10 <br />miles east of Pueblo. Project design was prepared by the Pueblo Office of the Natural Resource Conservation Service, <br />Ralph Adkins, P.E. of Pueblo, Irrigation Engineering of Alamosa and Hendrooke Sprinklers ofFt Collins. Project <br />construction commenced by the owner and several sub-contractors in May 1998 with project completion scheduled for <br />fall 1999. . . <br /> <br />. Pinon Mesa Ranches Community Association - Rural Raw Water System Construction <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 County: La Plata - W oflgnacio <br />Water Source: Florida River Project Yield: 125 ac.ft. <br />Tems ofLoan: $258,000 @3.75'10 for 30 yrs Project Type: Diversion and Dist. System <br />This $345,000 project is the construction of a new rural raw water irrigation and distnbution system in La Plata County <br />west Oflgnacio. The project consists of construction of a concrete diversion structure and pump station at the Florida <br />River, a transmission pipeline from the diversion to a storage impoundment, and construction of approximately 9,000 <br />feet of distnbution pipeline from the storage impoundment to the water users. RMI Environmental Services of <br />Fannington, New Mexico prepared the project design. Project construction commenced September 2, 1997 by RMI <br />Environmental Services ofFannington, New Mexico (a designlbuild contractor). The project is currently 70% complete <br />and continues to be on indefinite hold due to and [mancial problems. <br /> <br />. Summit Reservoir and Irri!!ation Comoanv - Summit Reservoir and Ditch Svstem Rehab. <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 County: Montezuma - NE of Cortez <br />Water Source: Lost Canyon Creek Project Yield: 4,287 ac.ft. <br />Tems ofLoan: $200,OOO@3.75%for30 years Project Type: Reservoir and Ditch Rehab. <br />This project is the rehabilitation of the Summit Reservoir Dam outlet wolks and the construction of repairs and <br />improvements to the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company's water collection and distnbution facility. The Cortez <br />office of the Natural Resource Conservation Service prepared the construction plans and specifications. Construction <br />commenced in March by Noland, Inc. of Mancos, CO. and is currently 75% complete. Construction is scheduled for <br />completion in the fall 1999. <br /> <br />. Julesbur!! Irri!!ation District - Hannonv Ditch #1 Diversion Structure Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Emerg. Infrastructure Repair Account County: Logan - SW of Crook <br />Water Source: South Platte River Project Yield: 40,000 ac.fl. <br />Tems of Loan: $590,000 @3.75%for30years Project Type: Diversion Rehabilitation <br />This project is the emergency rehabilitation of the Julesburg Irrigation District's Hannony Ditch #1 diversion structure <br />on the South Platte River 4 miles southwest of Crook. The structure was damaged by the 1997 South Platte floods and is <br />critical to the operation of the Company's Julesburg Reservoir. Zoyiopoulo~ & Associates of Greeley prepared the <br />design plans and the construction contract was awarded to Concrete Specialties, Inc. of Sterling in early January 1999. <br />Construction is currently 60% complete. Due to the threat of low spring runoff, the District decided to complete 50% of <br />the diversion dam and 100% of the headgate structure, demobilize the contractor, and complete the project in the fall. <br />Project completion is therefore scheduled for October 1999. <br /> <br />. City of - NCWCD Southern Pipeline Extension <br /> <br />Authorization: SB94-029, SB98-1189, Svrnce Tax <br />Water Source: Colo.-Big Thompson/Windy Gap <br />Tems of Loan: $5,500,000 @ 4% for 40 years <br />$8,000,000 @ 4% for 30 years <br />This project is an extension of the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District's Southern Pipeline Project. The <br />pipeline extension will provide high quality western slope water to the City of Fort Morgan for their municipal use. <br /> <br />County: Weld/Morgan - W ofFt.
