The 780-acre reservoir was built using federal money and refinanced with a loan from the <br />CWCB Construction Fund. <br /> <br />Located just south of Steamboat Springs, Stagecoach State Park offers visitors a <br />wonderful area to enjoy Colorado's outdoors. Learn the history of mining and logging near <br />Stagecoach while you enjoy an unlimited array of activities, including fabulous boating and <br />fishing. The park's unique rimrock formations invite visitors to explore the park's trail system, <br />and the family atmosphere makes Stagecoach a wonderful vacation destination. Stagecoach State <br />Park had 173,723 visitors in 1997 <br /> <br />Directions: from Steamboat Springs, go four miles east on U.S. 40, then south on <br />Colorado 131 for five miles to Routt County Road 14. Another seven miles south brings you to <br />the park entrance.
