River water <br />while meeting their campact water delivery requirements at Lee Ferry; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the pasition af the Upper Calorada River Camm,ission and <br />the lIpper Division St:ates that with the delivery at Lee Ferry af 75 million <br />a'cre-feet af "ater in each periad of ten cansecutive years, the wat,er supply <br />available in the Calarada River System'belew Lee Ferry is sufficient to. meet <br />the aPl'artianments to. the Lewer Basin provided far in Article III (a) and (b). <br />of t:he Calqrada River Cempact and the entire Mexican Water Treaty delivery <br />obligation; 'and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Upper Calorado River Cammissian and the Upper Divisian <br />States will call upen apprapriate aut<,orities to. take all actians necessary <br />to. ensure ehat all States have access ~a 'their respective appart:ianments as <br />specified in the Upper Calarada River Basin Cempact: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Upper Calarado River Cammission <br />at its Special Meeting in Denver, 'Calarade, an June 2, 1987, tha.t while the <br />Cammission dees net enderse the projections of depletions ,the studyassump-, <br />tians ar the aaalytital methadalegies, particularly the assumptian af a <br />minimum Upper Basin delivery ef 8.23 millien acre-feet annually at Lees <br />Ferry, c<Jntained in the "Upper Calorada River Basin' Yield S tudy--Hydralagic <br />Determinatian" as 'transmitted by letter dated March 9, 1987, fram the Upper <br />Calarada Regiaa of the Bureau af Reclamatian" the Cammissian wauld nat <br />abj ect to. a determination by the' Bureau that the Upper Basin yield is at <br />least 6,0 millian acre-feet annually, rathe,r thao. 5,8 millian acre-feet as' <br />previausly determined, <br /> <br />II.'...~ <br />~ rYP" ' <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. that the Ca1l$issian encaurages the Bureau of <br />Reclamatian to. redetermine the amaunt af water available far can tract from <br />the Navajo. Reservair supply based an an Upper Basin yield af 6.0 millian <br />acre-feet annually. <br /> <br />BE IT.FURTHER RESOLVED that the Commissian is aat, at this time, taking <br />any pasitian an the amaunt af water which is reasanably likely to. be avail- <br />able fram any given Federal reservair for lang-term water service 'cantracts <br />withaut causing an Upper Division State to. exceed its campact apportianment <br />based upan a determinatian by the Bureau af Reclamatian that the Upper Basin <br />~ yield is at least 6.0 millian acre-feet annually. <br />
