Floodplain Management Program - Items for Policy Direction and Information Items (9:30 -
9:45)
a. A Request for a Rio Grande Headwater Restoration Project - The Board has received a
request from the San Luis Valley Water Conservancy District for a Rio Grande
Headwater Restoration Project. Staff will provide the Board with a project objective and
overview. It is further proposed to make a formal application for technical and financial
assistance at the November CWCB meeting.

8. Instream Flow Program - Statements of Opposition (10:00 - 10: 15)
The Board will be asked to ratify the statements of opposition which have been filed by the staff to
protect instreamflow water rights on the streams listed below.

b. Case No. 4-98CW040; Denham (Cimarron River)
c. Case No. 5-98CW069; Timber Creek Water Company (Blue River)

9. Instream Flow Program - New Appropriations - Phase III - Board Action (10:15 - 10:40)
The Board will be asked to make the final determinations required for the appropriation of
instream flow rights on 48 streams in the following water divisions.
