<br />10 <br />-5'48 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />MEETING <br /> <br />January 11, 1956 <br />Parisian Room, Argonaut Hotel <br />Denver, Colorado <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The meeting was'called to order at 9:30 A.M. by. <br />Vice Chairman, G~orge J. Bailey. <br /> <br />Mr. Bailey announced that Mr. Harold Roberts was <br />unable to attend and, by letter dated January 9, had <br />designated John M. Dickson as his proxy. According to <br />previous practice, Mr. Bailey stated, that proxy will be <br />recognized. <br /> <br />Inasmuch as Governor Edwin C. Johnson was present <br />the order of:busiriess was temporarily set aside so,that he <br />might discuss Item #7 of the Agenda. <br /> <br />7. Division of Upper Colorado River <br />8torage Project Revenues <br /> <br />Mr. Bailey then called on Governor Johnson. <br /> <br />GOV'. JOHNSON: "As you may know, the Upper Colorado River <br />Commission met in Cheyenne in December, and <br />then the meeting at Santa Fe"New Mexico, <br />~here they reconvened on Janury 5, 1956, to <br />consider a ma~ter of the utmost importance <br />to the State of Colorado; and that is the <br />allocation by Gongress of the power credits <br />that would acc~ue at Glen Canyon, principally, <br />and pernapq ~he other storage projects on the <br />Upper Colorado.River. The Commission reached <br />a unanimous decision at Santa Fe and their <br />decisidn has .been transmitted to the Congress. <br />I am very anxious for our delegation in <br />Congress to hear from this Board with respect <br />to the same matter. <br /> <br />I do not want to go back to history' too far, <br />but I should say this: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />l:., <br /> <br />;,-;; <br />
