<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />Consent Agenda Item 2b-Stream and Lake Protection <br />Case No. 6-00CW048; Three Forks Ranch Corp. <br /> <br />Application Swnmarv <br /> <br />This is an application for water rights, a change of water rights, an appropriative right of exchange, <br />and an augmentation plan on various forks of the Little Snake River in Routt COWlty near the <br />Colorado/Wyoming border (see attached map). The Applicant is proposing to change the use from <br />inigation to include augmentation, replacement and exchange as uses, and to divert this water at <br />alternate points of diversion on various forks of the Little Snake River. The Applicant seeks <br />appropriative rights of substitution and exchange to move the water to these upstream points of <br />diversion. The Applicant also seeks storage water rights. <br /> <br />CWCB Appropriations <br /> <br />TIle Board holds an instream flow right on the North Fork of the Little Snake River for 15 cfs year <br />rOWld, and an instream flow water right on the Middle Fork of the Little Snake River for 20 cfs year <br />roWld, which may be injured by this application. <br /> <br />Potential for Iniurv <br /> <br />The Applicant's proposed change of water rights may be an expansion of use. In addition, the <br />Applicant's augmentation plan may not replace depletions in time, place and amoWlt Also, the <br />Applicant's proposed storage reservoirs may raise inWldation issues that may cause injury to the <br />Board's instream flow water rights on the North Fork of the Little Snake River. <br /> <br />Other Objectors <br /> <br />There are no other objectors in this case. <br /> <br />L:\WCfRANSISECClCas' Files\2000\60OCW048_mem.doc <br />
