<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda Item It <br />Case No. 6-0 I CWI 08; Catamount Development, Inc. <br /> <br />Ap.plication Summary <br /> <br />This is an application for a change of water rights, which includes requests for several alternative <br />points of diversion; and a change in the type of use, place of use, and manner of use. In particular, <br />the Applicant is seeking to change the type of use from irrigation to aesthetic, piscatorial, and <br />recreational uses on a golf course. These lands are located on Walton Creek, upstream of the Town <br />of Steamboat Springs (see attached map). <br /> <br />CWCB Appro.priations <br /> <br />The Board holds instream flow water rights on Walton Creek, Storm King Creek, and Beaver Creek <br />for various amounts with various appropriation dates. <br /> <br />Potential for Inhuy <br /> <br />This application may cause injury to the Board's Walton Creek, Storm King Creek, and Beaver <br />Creek instream flow water rights by diverting at points located upstream from the historical <br />diversion point, and by diverting at different times of year than has historically occurred, and by <br />expanding the historical conswnptive use. <br /> <br />Other Objectors <br /> <br />The other objectors in this case are: the City of Steamboat Springs, Storm Mountain Ranch, the <br />State and Division Engineers, the Alpine Land Investments, and the Priest Creek Ranch. <br /> <br />L:\Section Folders\SECC\Case Files\200 I \60 I CW J 08 _mem.doc <br />
