<br />PLANNING REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Who: Entities that retail 2,000-acre feet of water annually for domestic/commercial water use. <br /> <br />When: Within 5 years of the effective date of HB1154 (June 4, 1996), entities that do not have <br />plans are to develop, adopt, make publicly available, and implement a water conservation plan. <br /> <br />What: Water conservation plans require an entity to: <br /> <br />Entities shall implement a plan, which would encourage its domestic, commercial, industrial, and <br />public facility customers to use water more efficiently. <br /> <br />Develop a plan that encourages water use efficiency. Such plans should consider conservation <br />measures listed in HB 91-1154. <br /> <br />Who: Entities that retail 2,000 acre-feet of water annually for domestic/commercial water use. <br /> <br /> <br />A. Water-efficient fixtures and appliances, including toilets, urinals, showerheads, and <br /> <br />faucets; <br /> <br />B. Low water use landscapes and efficient irrigation; <br />C. Water efficient industrial and commercial water-using processes; <br /> <br />D. Water reuse systems, both potable and nonpotable; <br />E.Distribution system leak repair; <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />F. Dissemination of information regarding water use efficiency measures; <br /> <br />G. Water rate structures designed to encourage water use efficiency in a fiscally responsible <br />manner; <br /> <br />F. Regulatory measures; including standards for the use of water efficiency fixtures and <br />landscapes, and ordinances, codes or other law designed to encourage water use <br />efficiency; and <br /> <br />I. Incentives to implement water use efficiency techniques, including rebates to customers or <br />others to encourage the installation of water use efficiency measures. <br /> <br />1) Statement of entity's "best judgment of the role of water use efficiency plans in the covered <br />entity's water supply planning". <br /> <br />2) Public notification. <br /> <br />3) Implement proposed plan. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />6 <br />
