Walker <br />Deputy Director <br /> <br />DATE: July 26, 1982 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Agenda Item 16g, August 16, 1982, Board Meeting-- <br />Informational Items <br /> <br />Case #1- W9371 Geneva Creek/Bluepond Associates <br />The Board, at an executive session at the June 3, 1982 <br />Board meeting, authorized the staff and the Attorney <br />General's office to proceed to trial in this case. <br /> <br />On June 21, 1982, Bluepond Associates withdrew its <br />objection and the case did not go to trial. <br /> <br />Case #1-82CW052 South Boulder Creek/Town of Erie <br /> <br />I <br />. <br /> <br />The Board, at the June 3,1982, Board meeting ratified a <br />Statement of Opposition against Erie's change of water <br />right application. The staff has since contacted the town <br />officials to explain the reasons behind this action and to <br />request a meeting to discuss their proposed change of <br />water right. The Town of Erie preferred to meet with all <br />of the objectors in this case at one time and has yet to <br />arrange such a meeting. <br /> <br />No delays to the Town of Erie's water storage project, <br />which is to be funded in part with Board monies, has <br />occurred as a result of this Statement of Opposition. The <br />staff will make every effort to insure that no such delays <br />will occur. <br /> <br />East River Appropriatons, Gunnison County <br /> <br />At the June 3, 1982 Board meeting, the Board approved <br />final instream flow recommendations in Water Division 4. <br />Included in these recommendations were three segments on <br />the East River about which Mr. Dick Bratton, attorney for <br /> <br />(over) <br /> <br />Robert A. 1.1Ckson, Chairman.
