<br />FPR 200 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />August 16, 1982 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Mancos <br />River and Chicken Creek Drainage Master Plan, Mancos, Colorado," <br />dated March, 1982, has been prepared by the Muller Engineering <br />Company, Inc., at the request of the Town of Mancos; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Mancos has requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevent ion <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that s'-lch legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may pro'Tide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-50-105(l)(cl, Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />anti appr9ve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has rev iewed said report and <br />does hereby recommenti to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as flootiplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flooti (intermetiiate regional flood) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report; <br />
