"""'

LIONS
CLUB

I

Craig, Colorado

February 19, 1957

Mr. Ivan Crawford, Director
Colorado Water Conservation Board
212 State Office Building
Denver, Colorado

Dear Mr. Crawford:

Members of the Craig Lions club at their regu-
lar meeting today 'unanimously voted that I should write
you a letter recommending the construction of the Savery-
Pothooks projects.

The general feeling here in Craig and with our
Lions Club members is that the construction of this project
would mean much to this section of the state of Colorado.

First, it would provide storage of much needed
water that otherwise would be lost to the state; second,
it would provide water for many acres of semi-arid land
and provide good homes for many of our citizens.

Many other benefits would eventually accrue to
the state but we feel that those two items would well re-
pay the construction cost of lhls project.

Very truly yours,

I

THE CRAIG LIONS CLUB

JE/ue

Jack Eldredge/s
Secretary
