<br /> <br />Southwestern Colorado Water Conservation Distriot. and oommended his interest <br />in meetings of the state board. <br /> <br />The direotor reported on the progress of the investigation on the Little <br />Snake River and discussion ensued concerning oompaot negotiations between <br />Colorado and Wyoming upon oompletion of the ourrent investigation by the Bureau <br />of Reolamation. <br /> <br />The finanoial report was then brought up for oonsideration and the <br />direotor stated that two men have reoently left the staff of the board, end that <br />they probably would not be replaoed beoause of the necessity of saving money <br />for expenses incident to the A~kansas and North Platte interstate litigation, <br /> <br />The direotor presented a report on the cooperative agreement between the <br />Board and the U. S. Geological Survey on stre8.ll1 gaging work to seoure water- <br />supply data related to projeot development. <br /> <br />A disoussion of the matter of an under ground water study in cooperation <br />with the U. S. Geologioal Survey then followed. during which a letter from Mr. <br />G. L. Parker, Chief Hydraulic Engineer of the Geologioal Survey, dated September <br />18, 1941, outlining a tentative proposal was considered. <br /> <br />Mr. Hinderlider moved and the motion was duly seoonded that the <br />matter of entering into a oooperative underground water study with <br />the U. S. Geologioal Survey be left to the Direotor and that he ad- <br />vise the members by letter by July 1st, so that action may be taken <br />by that time. <br /> <br />The motion was seconded and oarried. <br /> <br />A map and tabulation of the stream gaging stations being operated by the <br />U. S. Geological Survey and the U. S. Bureau of Reclamation. in oooperation <br />with the Colorado Water Conservation Board was then examined by the members <br />of the board. The direotor was instructed to prepare a list of these gaging . <br />stations as well as a list of the regular stream gaging 'stations being operated <br />by the State Engineer in oooperation with the U. S.
