July 16, 1991 <br /> <br />The impoundment of water in Van Straaten Pond has increased evaporation from <br />Coulton Creek, however, the application does not provide replacement water for <br />evaporation losses when the pond is out-of-priority. The CWCB staff has estimated <br />maximum monthly evaporation to be approximately 0.009 cfs, or 0.90 percent of the <br />Board's instream flow appropriation on Coulton Creek.
