<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WATER CONSERVATION ACT OF 1991 <br /> <br />STATUTORY <br />REQUIREMENTS: <br /> <br />o Officially establish Office of Water Conservation, July 1, 1991. <br /> <br />o Hire staff sufficient to preform duties of the Office, July 1, 1991. <br /> <br />o Funds available for grant award, subject to development of guidelines, October 1, 1991. <br /> <br />o Guidelines for grants for water use efficiency projects determined, October 1, 1991. <br /> <br />o Plumbing specifications required for state building construction or renovation, January <br />1, 1992. <br /> <br />o Completion of water salvage study, January 1, 1992. <br /> <br />o State buildings subject to water audits if local water supplier provides service, January <br />1, 1992. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Water efficiency plans required of state agencies for construction or renovation of <br />facilities, January 1, 1993. <br /> <br />o CWCB to report on progress and success of demonstration pilot projects to General <br />Assembly, January 1, 1995. <br /> <br />o Water efficiency plans required of covered entities serving an excess of 2,000 acre feet <br />of water annually, July 1, 1996. <br /> <br />o Application for financial assistance from the CWCB or the Colorado Water Resources <br />and Power Development Authority by covered entity shall be accompanied by water <br />efficiency plan, July 1, 1996. <br /> <br />o Provisions of HB 1154 repealed on July 1, 1999. <br />
