Water for the 11" Century Update: The Department of Natural Resources and Colorado Water .
Conservation Board have been very active implementing House Bill 1177 - "Interbasin Compact
Negotiations" legislation. During the months of August through November Colorado's counties,
municipalities, conservation districts and conservancy districts made their appointments to the basin
roundtables. These initial or designated members then selected additional at-large members to complete
their roundtable membership.

There are currently 287 individuals serving on the nine roundtables throughout the state (see detailed
summary below). The roundtable meetings have so far been a resounding success. Not only has the
number of participanta met expectations, but also the level of discourse and engagement has been
impressive. Roundtable members are engaged in a productive dialogue about how they can work together
to meet the state' s water needs.

In the coming months each roundtable will be making important contributions to the state's water
discussions. Each roundtable will select two individuals to represent their basin on the statewide
Interbasin Compact Committee.

Roundtable MeetinRS Held 19 in al19 basins and inl5 different cities
Number of Roundtable Members Arkansas 53
Colorado 35
Dolores/SM/SJ 31
.
