Mter discussion <br />motion was duly ~ssed. <br /> <br />Discussion was then had concerning preparation for flood control <br />hearings in Western Colorado and the San Luis Valley. <br /> <br />It W13:S moved by Mr. Aspinall, seconded by Mr. Dille that the Board <br />authorize the expenditure of an amount up to $1000 for the gathering and <br />presenting of data for flood control hearings where the same have hem called <br />or authorized by the Army Engineers. Mter discussion the motion was duly <br />passed. <br /> <br />Thereupon, it was moved by Mr. Dille and seconded by Judge <br />O'Rourke and Mr. Hinderlider that the Board authorize expmdi ture of an amount <br />up to $1000 to make a flood control study of beneri ts to the Middle Rio Grande <br />arising out of the proposed cClllstruction of the Wagon Vlheel Gap Dam and storage <br />facilities in the Conejos River Basin. in order that these proposed projeots <br />may be credited when constructed, with the benefits to flood control in the <br />Rio Grande Basin derived from such prcjects. After discussion motion was <br />dul",' passed. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Aspinall and seconded by Mr. Bailey that !!r. <br />Stone be asked to appear before the Executive Council and ask for adequate <br />quarters for the work of the Board. After discussion the motion was duly <br />pas sed. <br /> <br />There followed a report by Miss Pointer concerning the status of <br />the proposed Caddoa Reservoir development; and a report by Mr. Dille <br />ooncerning the status of the Colorado-Big ThOlIlpson irrigation and power <br />project development. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Bailey and seconded by Mr. Aspinall that the <br />authority heretofor given Judge Stone. Counsel for the Board, and Byron Rogers, <br />Attorney General, to employ special cDunsel in interstate suits be oontinued <br />until further action of the Board. After discussion the motion WaS duly passed. <br /> <br />Thereupon the financial statement showing expenditures by the Board <br />from July 1, 1937 to June 30, 1938, was submitted. <br /> <br />I t was moved by Mr. Aspinall and seoonded by Mr. Be.! ley and Judge <br />O'Rourke that the financial report of the fiscal year from July 1, 1937 to June <br />30, 1938 be received and placed in th1 files.
