Denver have coordinated closely with the District during the development and review of the subject <br />study, and their comments were addressed by ilie Consultant. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Staff findings: CWCB staffhas detennined that ilie subject detailed floodplain infonnation is in <br />conformance with ilie CWCB's rules and regulations for floodplain designation and approval. The <br />lOO-yellT flood profile and floodplain delineation llTe reasonable and appear to accurately describe <br />flood hazards in the affected communities. The most current regulatory floodplain mapping <br />published for lower Box Elder Creek was studied by approximate meiliods only, and is shown as an <br />unnumbered A Zone on ilie 1995 Flood Insurance Study (FIS) for Adams County. CWCB staff <br />finds iliat the approximate delineations on ilie 1995 FIS should be replaced with the detailed <br />infonnation contained in ilie September 2001 Flood Hazard Area Delineation presented here for <br />designation and approval. <br /> <br />Staff recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that the Board: 1) designate and approve ilie 100-yellT detailed floodplain <br />infonnation for Lower Box Elder Creek contained in said report within Adams County, and 2) <br />authorize staff to prepare a floodplain resolution to be signed by the Director and transmitted to <br />Adams County, the City and County of Denver, and the District. This action is recommended in <br />order to meet statutory requirements. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION SUMMARY <br />Resolution Number 01-554: Roaring Fork River in Basalt, Eagle County, and Pitkin County <br />Staff recommends that the BOllTd: 1) designate and approve the 100-year detailed floodplain <br />infonnation for ilie Roaring Fork River contained in said report within the Town of Basalt and <br />within unincorporated Pitkin County, and 2) authorize staff to prepare a floodplain resolution to be <br />signed by the Director and transmitted to Basalt, Eagle County, and Pitkin County. This action is <br />recommended in order to meet statutory requirements, <br /> <br />Resolution Number 01-555: Lower Box Elder Creek Watershed in Adams County <br />Staff recommends that ilie Board: 1) designate and approve ilie lOO-year detailed floodplain <br />infonnation for Lower Box Elder Creek contained in said report within Adams County, and 2) <br />authorize staff to prepare a floodplain resolution to be signed by the Director and transmitted to <br />Adams County, the City and County of Denver, and ilie Urban Drainage & Flood Control District. <br />This action is recommended in order to meet statutory requirements. <br /> <br />Flood Protection .
