Introduction <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The CWCB staff is requesting FY 1999-2000 funding to participate in the Department <br />of Natural Resources Technology Initiative - Electronic Document Imaging System in the <br />amount of $270,000. <br /> <br />Back2round <br /> <br />The Construction Section of the CWCB is responsible for the permanent filing and <br />storage of the Construction Fund Loan Program project information. These files include <br />original loan contracts, feasibility studies, fInancial information, deeds of trust, collateral <br />documents, project plans and specifications, as-built construction drawings, loan account <br />tabulations, and other official records that provide historical technical, legal and financial <br />documentation of Construction Fund projects. <br /> <br />The Department of Natural Resources is currently in the second year of their Tactical <br />Information System Plan which focuses on five information technology initiatives. One of <br />those initiatives named the DNR Technology Initiative is underway with participation by the <br />Division of Water Resources (DWR) and the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission <br />(COGCC). This project encompasses two technology components: 1) Computer Application <br />Enhancements and 2) Electronic Document Imaging. This project is the department's number <br />one information technology priority. <br />
