<br /> <br />I <br /> <br />, <br />, .~ <br />,.' )~ <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The General Assembly, through SB 97-008, HB 00-1419, and SB 01-157, <br />added financial resources from the Construction Fund, each time restoring the balance in <br />the Emergency Infrastructure Repair Fund to $2 million. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The Emergency Infrastructure Repair Loan Fund has proven to be an effective <br />tool for the State in response to water supply related emergencies over the past several <br />years. The need to have loan funds available to water users in a timely manner following <br />such emergencies in Colorado will continue in the future. <br /> <br />Approximate funds need to be transferred from the Construction Fund's <br />unreserved cash into the account to bring the balance back up to $2 million: <br /> <br />Initial Account Appropriated in 1993 $2,000,000 <br />Additional Appropriation in 1997 $ 960,000 <br />Additional Appropriation in 2000 $1,475,000 <br />Additional Appropriation in 2001 $1,293,000 <br />Total Account Revenue $5,728,000 <br />Total Account Authorizations $5.161.000 <br />Account Balance $ 567,000 <br />Amount Recommended to be Appropriated in 2002 $1,433.000 <<<<< <br />Account Balance After 2002 Appropriation $2,000,000 <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the Board consider a motion to recommend to the General <br />Assembly that the balance in the Emergency Infrastructure Repair Fund be restored to $2 <br />million by transferring the required amount into the Fund from the CWCB Construction <br />Fund's unreserved cash. <br />
