Director's report, as well as <br />.orally, that i.ncreases in t:he operating expenses over the <br />present bienn~um, indicate ~he need for a heavier outlay <br />for printing, !lalary increa,ses ()f staff members under the <br />:'step plan" an.d the employm~nt of two additional engineers. <br /> <br />(b) The Director reported that since the last meeting <br />of the Board, Mrs. Helen Boatright, who for many years . <br />served on the cleric$l and stenographic staff, had re- <br />signed and that she had been replaced by Mrs. Marjorie <br />Ward by transfer from the office of Accounts and Control, <br />Mrs. Ward will have charge of the clerical work of the <br />office, inCluding bookkeeping, and assist in carrying <br />the stenographic load. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />(c) 011 reconnnendation and application of the Director, <br />the positi.ons held by Ge.orge W. Colburn and Cyrus R. Rix:' <br />ford of the engineering .staff, have been re-classified. <br />These two men serve on the engineering staff, and, under <br />the State 9ivil Service,. have been raised from Engineer P-l <br />in the fifth step of Gr~de 16, to Engineer P-II in Grade 19, <br />with a salary in the beginnhlg step of $310.00 per month. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />(d) A reprint and advance release of t he section of <br />the Colorado Yearbook dealing with Colorado Water Resources <br />has been printed and is being distributed. The cost of <br />printing the pamphlet was $274.06. This material on Colo- <br />rado Water Resources was prepared for the Yearbook by the <br />Director of the Board. <br />
