Summary reports for Period 6 (December 1 - December 31), Period <br />7 (January 1 - January 31), and Period 8 (February 1 - February 28) are attached. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />A total of $5.39 million was received in loan deposits in the first 8 calendar months of state <br />FY 1998-99, up 13% compared to the same period last year ($4.78 million). Of this amount, <br />$2.27 million was return of principal and $3.12 million was interest. In contrast, loan <br />disbursements totaling $9.50 million were made in the first 8 calendar months of state FY 1998- <br />99, up 67% compared to the same period last year ($5.70 million).
