The Columbine Ranches Property Owners Association supplies water to <br />subdivision residents lor irrigation. stock watering, and fire protection. The well that <br />supplies this water has a junior water right (1962) and can not be pumped unless its <br />consumptive use is replaced. The annual volume pumped is 120 acre-feet. and the <br />consumptive use is 75 acre.feet. The Association plans to purchase senior water rights <br />that are suitable for augmentation. The Columbine Ranches Property Owners <br />Association is a nonprofit corporation registered in the State of Colorado. The <br />Association has 54 members and a service area of 160 acres. Robert A. Longenbaugh, <br />P.E. has completed the feasibility study. The Association has an existing CWCS Loan <br />for $305.250. This $93.750 increase will result in a $399,000 loan authorization for the <br />Association for 75% of the cost.
