MILLER:

of the number, there won't be any time limita-
tion on, although I am sure the speakers will
realize that if they are repeating they won't
object to my calling this to their attention,
I hope appropriately.

So without any particular format or order
I ...lill call on Dave Miller to lead off. please."

"Nr. Chairman, ladies and gentlemen, it
is a pleasure to be here. within the time
permitted I have gone over the comments of the
Board on the Act and I congratulate those \~o
prepared it. I am sure this is primarily the
Director and Ray Noses, and I would guess
Mrs. Keating had to do some night work."

"l'7e don't allow that on this Board~"

"I did a little night \vork myself last
night and I rolled out a nine page presenta-
tion and I am going to read the last three
pages if you promise not to ask me any ques-
tions. Otherwise I'll read the other part.

I am here representing the Central Colo-
rado Water Conservancy District which was
organized in September of 1965 and which has
for its primary purpose an attempt to secure
a better use of water in the South Platte
valley and also looks toward transmountain
diversion water from the western to the eastern
slope.

This Board recently reported that 2,215,000
acre-feet of water to which we are entitled
flows beyond the Utah and New Mexico state
lines. Surely the least that we can do is to
provide for the full use of our water. If
this cannot be done through the federal govern-
ment it must be done by the state. Now is the
time to put all of Colorado's water to use.
He must use it or run the risk of losing it.

Time does not permit a detailed discussion
