The requested action is designation <br />and approval of the FIS and DFIRMs by the Board in order to meet statutory requirements. . <br /> <br />4. FPR 00-528: Town of Rico. Floodplain Information Report and Flood Hazard Boundary <br />Map dated September 2000 and August 5, 1986, respectively. The FIR was prepared by the <br />CWCB via contract with Montgomery Watson, Inc. and includes previously completed <br />detailed floodplain delineations for the Dolores River along with approximate floodplain <br />delineations for Silver Creek. The original Flood Hazard Boundary Map (FHBM) was <br />prepared by the Federal Insurance Administration and includes approximate floodplain <br />delineations for the Dolores River and Silver Creek. The FHBM will be recognized and <br />designated as the official map for flood insurance purposes, while the new FIR will be <br />recognized and designated for floodplain management and regulation purposes to be used by <br />the local government. The requested action for the FIR and the FHBM is designation and <br />approval by the Board in order to meet statutory requirements. <br /> <br />5. FPR 00-529: La Plata County. Flood Insurance Study dated March 1995 was prepared by <br />the Federal Emergency Management Agency for La Plata County. It includes approximate <br />floodplain delineations for unincorporated portions of the county. The requested action for this <br />report is designation and approval by the Board in order to meet statutory requirements. <br /> <br />6. FPR 00-530: Adams County unincorporated areas. Flood Insurance Study and Digital <br />Flood Insurance Rate Maps for Adams County dated August 16, 1995 were prepared by the <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency and include detailed and approximate floodplain .... <br />information for all of the incorporated and unincorporated portions of Adams County. This <br />resolution covers only the unincorporated areas. The requested action is designation and <br />approval of the FIS and DFIRMs by the Board in order to meet statutory requirements. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />The approximate and detailed floodplain information being considered for designation and approval <br />as outlined in Resolutions Nos. 00-525 through 00-530 meets the applicable requirements of the <br />Board's "Floodplain Designation and Approval Rules", therefore designation and approval is <br />recommended for those 6 resolutions. <br /> <br />PROPOSED MOTION <br />The Board, having reviewed this memorandum regarding resolution Nos. 00-525 through 00-530, <br />now moves as follows: <br /> <br />I. To designate and approve as detailed and approximate 100-year floodplain information the <br />subject reports/maps for Resolution Nos. 00-527, 00-528 and 00-530. <br />2.
