<br />.' <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Conservation of Colorado River Native Species <br />The purpose of this project is to enhance Colorado River cutthroat trout (CRCT) populations in <br />accordance with the Colorado- Wyoming-Utah Conservation Agreement and Strategy (for Colorado <br />River cutthroat trout), and preclude the need for federaJ protection through listing as threatened or <br />endangered of any native cutthroat trout in Colorado. <br /> <br /> <br />FY 02-03 <br />Proposal. <br /> <br />FY 02-03 Contributions from other sources <br />and operating support (leverage) <br /> <br />$210,000 <br /> <br />GOCO - $60,062 <br />Wildlife Cash/Non-Game <br />Checkoff - $ 6,458 <br /> <br />Total: $276,520 <br /> <br />Project TaskslDeliverables and Associated Costs for FY 02-03 Recommendation: <br /> <br />. Establish 41 new populations in streams. <br />. Increase by 270 the stream miles with populations established. <br />. Establish 3 new populations in lakes. <br />. Increase by 100 the lake acres with populations established. <br />. Assess 10 populations for Whirling Disease, <br />. Complete a research proj ect investigating factors that limit populations. <br /> <br />Costs for all tasks related to this project shaJI not exceed $210,000 from the Species Conservation Trust <br />Fund. <br />
