<br />· Identify structural and non-structural water projects, including funding and planning <br />assistance for these projects; and <br />· Develop recommendations for planning models, funding and technical assistance for <br />these models and project implementation for each river basin. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The opinion data on drought and water conservation planning and preparedness will aide in the <br />development and implementation of the strategy to provide Technical Assistance to Covered Entities, <br />which has the goal of supporting and encouraging water conservation efforts statewide. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The opinion data on drought mitigation options including structural and non-structural projects will <br />be used to support the Statewide Water Supply Initiative (SWSn, by providing constituency <br />information to River Basin Advisors and the Board. <br /> <br />The report will be prepared as a compendium of technical papers by various authors versus in. the topics of <br />interest. The tentative list of paper titles are as follows: <br /> <br />1. Executive Summary <br />2. A Technical and Historical Description of Drought in Colorado <br />3, Social Impacts of Drought <br />4, The State of Colorado Response to Drought <br />5. Forecasting Long-Term Weather Trends <br />6. Population and Demographic Trends in Colorado <br />7. Statutory Framework for Drought and Drought Mitigation in Colorado <br />8. Tools for Managing Drought at a Local Scale <br />9. Structural and Non-Structural Options for Drought Mitigation <br />10. Development of Drought & Water Supply Assessment Tool <br />11. Identification and Engagement of Assessment Participants <br />12. Administration of Drought & Water Supply Assessment <br />13. Summary of Drought Preparedness in Colorado <br />14. Carry-Over Storage Characteristics in Recent Colorado Drought <br />15. Poferitial Drought Mitigatiori Methods Supported by Water Users <br />16. State Role in Drought Mitigation <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />A summary of the assessment analyses and results will be presented in a workshop to the Board at the July <br />meeting. A draft of the report will be made available to the Board and project Technical Review Committee <br />by mid-August. Comments will be received from the Board and project Technical Review Committee by <br />mid-October.
