The funds will <br />also potentially be used to help with the Tamarisk identification within the Colorado <br />River basin. Lastly, part of the funds will be used to assist in its acreage refresh in the <br />Arkansas River basin to make sure that certain attributes are identified, that are used in <br />CDSS and stored in HydroBase, which will have cost savings when a DSS is <br />implemented in the Arkansas basin. <br />Please explain why you are requesting a non-reimbursable, instead of a loan. (The <br />Construction Fund exists primarily to provide low interest loans for the construction or <br />rehabilitation of Raw Water Projects. Non-reimbursable mvestments are approved only <br />when the project or study is of Statewide interest and benefits a wide range of people and <br />organizations, and/or a large geographical area. The applicant(s) must also show that they <br />are financially unable to repay a loan): This as a State initiated project that has statewide <br />benefits. Benefits include continued collection of water resource data, and storage of all <br />necessary data in a central database for easy access.
