This can dramatically expand the CWCB's
authority. It will create much more uncertainty for a~cultural water users.

Our staff has contacted Greg Walcher on' this matt~r and he has agreed to meet with us and
others within the ag community today at the Farm Bureau office. We appreciate the opportunity
to hear directly from Mr, Walcher. We are also willing to discuss this with you, the rest of your
board, and your key staff on this issue. Please feel free to contact me personally or Ray
Christensen, Executiv ice President, about this matter,

/rc

cc:

Governor Bill Owens
Rep.
