<br />- 3- <br /> <br />approved a Construction FWld project loan of $450,000 to the Company in 1998 for the <br />construction of an emergency spillway on the Riverside Reservoir Dam. The Company is <br />negotiating easements with adjacent landowners and anticipates fl11al design to commence <br />in 2004. They have requested an extension of their loan authorization (letter attached). <br />Staff recommends continuation of this loan. <br /> <br />f. Colorado Water Protective and Development Association - Water Rights Purchase - The <br />CWCB approved a Severance Tax Trust Fund Perpetual Base ACCOWlt project loan of <br />$205,000 to the Association in 2001 for the purchase of augmentation water from the <br />Bessemer Irrigating Company. The Association has experienced intemal organizational <br />constraints that have been problematic relative to the loan contracting process. The <br />Association maintains interest in the loan and has requested a continuation of the <br />authorization. Staff recommends continuation of this loan. <br /> <br />g. City of Fountain - Keeton Reservoir Rehabilitation - The CWCB approved a Construction <br />Fund project loan of $420,000 to the City in 2002 for the rehabilitation of Keeton Reservoir. <br />The City has decided to pursue fl11ancing of the project from other sources and has requested <br />de-authorization of this loan (attached letter). Staff recommends that the Board consider de- <br />authorization of this loan. <br /> <br />h. Groundwater Appropriators of the South Platte - Sedgewick Augmentation Reservoir - <br />The CWCB approved a Construction Fund project loan of $1,700,000 to GASP in 1998 <br />for the construction of a new reservoir in the lower South Platte. GASP has finalized the <br />purchase of the land required for the reservoir and is working with their design <br />consultants on the engineering plans. They have requested an extension of their loan <br />authorization (letter attached). Staff recommends continuation of this loan. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends the Board approve a one-year extension or de-authorization of the loan <br />authorizations, as described above, and as shown in the attached spreadsheet. <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
