"Outside of this large rain tha t hit in
the Las Animas area fairly early, I think the
only moisture that we had that amounted to
anything came just about Decoration Day in the
vicinity of Rocky Ford and Swink. It amounted
to about 2.2 inches and that was practically
amen. I don't think we've had four inches of
rain at our place a year for the last three
years."

there are a couple of things I want to empha-
size in connection with the presentation that
Mr. Moore has made.

First of all, anybody can assume that I
when you have a basin such as the Arkansas,
that the water is hydraulically connected,
but it's that water that's above what we
normally call bedrock that is a hydraulically
interconnected single body of water. You can
assume that, but the question is 'What is the
