Colorado River Basin Issues - Endangered Fish Recovery, Instream Flow Water <br />Rights Application -IS-Mile Reach & Yampa <br />Tape 3, Start/Stop: 1879 - 3448 <br />Action: A motion was made by Greg Walcher that the Board instruct counsel to <br />withdraw the base flow filings on the Yampa and the Colorado Rivers and <br />that the staffbe asked to begin preparation for the Board's consideration of <br />instream flow filings on the Colorado and Yampa Rivers based on <br />preserving. the environment to a reasonable degree, based on studies by the <br />Division of Wildlife as to what is needed to accomplish that goal. The <br />motion was seconded by David Smith. The motion was requested to be <br />modified by Patricia Wells that the goal would be to make a final staff <br />recommendation in January so that the filing year would not be lost. After <br />discussion, the motion was reworded to state that the staff would bring this <br />to the Board as quickly as possible, but no later than January.
