<br />N0198.RES <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DOLORES WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-01 <br />A RESOLUTION TO <br />AUTHORIZE APPLICATION FOR FEASIBILITY STUDY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, In accordance with its Werer for Everyone Tomorrow PACKago, a Long <br />Range Water Management Plan, the Dolores Water Conservancy District desires to <br />develop additional water supplies or ml3nagement strategies to preserve and <br />enhance the agricultural economy in the Montezuma and Dolores County area by <br />providing Irrigation water to several thousand acres which are currently without a <br />water supply; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. additional water supplies and storage are also necessary to <br />provide additional water for the fishery below McPhee Dam; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to develop such additional water supplies, it is first <br />necessary to study potential reservoir sites for their feasibility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the District desires to borrow funds from the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to assist the District in preparing feasibility studies of potential <br />reservoir sites; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the District's enginEler has estimated that the necessary <br />feasibility studies will cost approximately $150,000. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, the District hereby requests that the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board lend seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of the feasibility <br />studies, up to $112,500, to the District to assist the District in performing feasibility <br />studies of potential reservoir sites for the above-referenced purposes. <br /> <br />This Resolution was duly adopted on the 11th day of June 1998, <br /> <br />~lJ,~L'Rb <br /> <br />Donald W, Schwindt, President <br />Dolores Water Conservancy District <br /> <br />CERTIFICATION <br /> <br />This is to certify that there were ~even of the regularly appointed Board <br />members of the District present at the above meeting at which time seven voted for, <br />and zero voted against.
