The proposed bill contains four
sections, as follows:

Section 1. Authorizes 14 projects.

Section 2. neauthorizes a project which has
been funded entirely from other sources.

Section 3. Amends section 37-60-l21(4) , C.R.S.
'1973, as amended. This amendment is
needed in order to permit the Board
to properly:staff and manage the .
i::onstruction fund program in light of
the large increase in monies appropriated
to the construction fund last year.
..

Section 4. Safety Clause.

As I indicated in previOUS correspondence, the Board
has yet to act upon three or :'four more proposed projects,
which projects will be disCI.lssed at the Board I s February 11th
meeting. Nonetheless, I would urge that this bill be intro-
duced immediately. The remaining projects, if recommended
by the Board. can then be added by way of amendment at the
first cOlllmittee hearing on tlle bill.

COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD, FredericJc V.
