Alternatives to CRRP <br />The intent of the Study is to identify the types of projects and programs that may result if the <br />CRRP is not developed. The categories of alternatives and their relative advantages and <br />disadvantages will be described. The following alternatives will be considered: <br /> <br />1. Development of Front Range Conditional Decrees (Trans-basin) <br />2. Agricultural to municipal use transfers <br />3. Non-renewable groundwater <br />4. Reuse <br />5. Conservation <br />6. New storage <br /> <br />III. Public Meeting Locations, Schednle and Format <br />Public Input - Two open house workshops will be held to solicit public input - one in Grand <br />Junction the evening of June 9 and one in Summit County the evening of June 10. The open <br />house format will allow the public to review and comment on CRRP alternatives and <br />potential topics such as environmental effects and implementation processes. <br /> <br />IV. Miscellaneous <br />Even though previous reviews of unused Colorado River Compact entitlements indicate that <br />up to 1.2 MAF may still be available to Colorado, the study increments of 250,000, 500,000 <br />and 750,000 AF/year will be studied in order to provide three cost data points. <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
