further consideration and to draft an amendment ror further oonsideration
of the Colorado Water Conservation Board. If a form is finally' agreed upon,
it is proposed to submit it at the next session of the Colorado legislature.

A. W. lIoHendrie from the Arkansas Valley, George 1I. Corlett from
the San Luis Valley, Silmon Smith frCIII Western Colorado and J. AI.
Dille from Northern Colorado be appointed as a oommittee to draft
,an lUJlendment covering the question of the limitations upon the
organization of conservancy districts respecting the amount of
water which can be diverted frCIII Western Colorado, and Bubmi t a
reoommendation at the next meeting of the Colorado Water Conserva-
tion Board.

After further discussion the motion was unanimously passed.

Direotor Stone announoed that he would attempt to arrange a meeting
with Commissioner Page and Chief Engineer III1rper at the time Mr. Page is here
for the meeting of the National Reclamation Association.

The Director was requested to send out a oopy of the amendment pro-
posed at the last session of the legislature, to each member of the speoial
oommi ttee appointed by the O'Rourke motion.

Frank C. Merrie!l, Engineer-Seoretary of the Colorado River W&teT
Conservation Distriot, called to the attention of the members of the Board
oertain proposed modifioations of the Colorado Irrigation Code, whioh were
being oonsidered by a committee of ~he ColoradO Bar Association; Consider-
able disoussion took place with respect to proposed modifioations of the Ir-
rigation Code but no action _s taken by the Board.

The meeting adjourned at 5135 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, 1942.
