applying the decree is not simply charging
Colorado for water it takes out of the
river but is charging it over and over for
the same water."

MR. PUGHE:

"Is Wyoming liable to come up with any
different figures on the stream flow?"

MR. WHITTEN:

"1 do not anticipate that they can come up
with figures different than_we have because
their gaging stations are maintained by the
U.S.G.S. and the records are, of course,
presumed to be the same records." :

MR. CRAWFORD:

"If there is RO further discussion:on this
subject, we might move on to another item."

Ground Water Code

Mr. Chilson reviewed the Fourth Draft of the:Proposed'
Underground Water Code.

MR. CHI ISON :

"We have listened to various suggestions of
the Agricultural Planning Committee and
other people who attended the public meet-
ings but the Legal Subcommittee decided
that this fourth draft, with possibly some
changes in wording, will be presented on
Monday as the final draft to the Agricultural
Planning Committee. They, of course, will do
as they see fit. We will have finished our
job when we submit it to the Agricultural
Planning Committee."

-Mr. Crawford explained the history of the Underground'
Water Legislation-Committee to the Board.

Mr. Pughe referred to Section 5, Page 4, of the fourth draft
of the ground water code and suggested that there be a provision
for the publication of a notice in each community to require-
people to file their claims on or before January 1 or July 1,
1956, instead of within two years after the effect~ve date of
the Act.
