It was an informative wake up
call to Silver Plume on current water issues in Colorado. It was unsettling to hear of Golden's
application for their water park and the volume of water they think they would require.

Silver Plume's water was called this past summer and we have not yet found a long term solution.
With all the opposition to Golden's application working their differences out, we feel this will set
a disturbing precedent. When you place a recreational use ahead of a municipal use, all upstream
towns throughout Colorado would be greatly affected. We ask; please don't give up the fight for
the small towns throughout Colorado, including Silver Plume.

We have asked to be on the Town of Georgetown's opposition witness list. What more can we
do to further oppo . Iden's application?

"/

....... ,....:'~ L/
./1" ./ ~ /
ory );I'eine
Mayor/!
TOwio"r Silver Plume

Georgetown Loop Railroad
Clear Creek County Commissioners
Colorado Historical Society
Julia Robinson, P.C., Town Water Attorney
Town of Georgetown
Town of Empire
Colorado Water Board

cc:
