<br /> <br />The Board discussed'the proposed budget and reached the conclusion that <br />any items included in the budget for underground water investigation should be <br />ellmiI1ll.ted and if such investigation is approved the proposal for. an appro- <br />priation to finance Colorado I s share of the SllJl1e be effectuated by. special <br />legislation; and that the proposed Laramie River investigation, aggregating <br />$10,000, should be included in the budget, leaving the budget requirem.errl;s for <br />the regular activities of the Board. and the proposed Laramie River investigation <br />inthe total a.mount of $173,020. Considerable discussion ensued concerning <br />proposed increases in salaries of the engineering staff which are reflected in <br />the budget estimates above set out, and the Director was advised to confer <br />with M. C. Einderlider, State Engineer, in an effort to adjust proposed salary <br />increases. <br /> <br />Thereupon, it was moved by Judge O'Rourke and secoIlded by Mr. Smith <br />that the budget as presented be approved subject to such modification as the <br />Director may find necessary to make to cover advisable salary increases and <br />elimination of the item of $30,000 for proposed uIldergrouIld water investi- <br />gations, making the total budget for 1941-l943 biennium for regular activities <br />of the Board and the proposed Laramie River investigation a total of <br />$173,020. <br /> <br />After further discussion the motion was duly passed, adopted and <br />approved by UI1ll.nimous action of t he Board. <br /> <br />There is inserted in these minutes, as hereinafter set out, the revised <br />budget for the Colorado Water Conservation Board for the 1941-1943 biennium as <br />prepared by the Director in accordance with the foregoing action of the Board, <br />to ""Wit I <br />
