Estimated Stream Flow on Middle Escalante Creek

10

6

8

lJ)
u

4

2

o

Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec
Month

For this reach, the synthetic hydrograph shows that the summer flow recommendation of 3.1 cfs
is available only from Aprill to June 30. The summer flow recommendation was reduced to 1.6
cfs for the time period of July I through October 31 based on limited water availability. The
winter flow recommendation of 1.25 cfs is available at least 50% of the time from November I
through March 31.

Precipitation Data
Staff reviewed local precipitation data sets from two sites located around the Escalante Creek
Drainage (see Precipitation Data in Appendix C). Table 3 shows the water year and the percent
of average precipitation recorded at each site. It is staff's opinion that the 14 years of stream-
flow data analyzed is representative of average water-years.

T bl 3 P

D

fA

a e reClP1tatlOn ata as a percentage 0 verage
Elevation = 5120 Elevation = 5830
Lat 38 45 00 Lat 38 29 00
Long 108 04 00 Long 107 53 00
Year DELTA MONTROSE NO 2
1976 Not Available 75%
1977 88% 78%
1978 Not Available 98%
1979 Not Available 89%
1980 111% 96%
1981 90% 95%
1982 103% 86%

- 5 -
