Inman,
d.b.a. Industrial Building Corporation

Applicant is requesting approval of a plan of augmentation
in order to provide water for three resort-type developments in
Hinsdale and Mineral counties. It is proposed that fifteen 15
g.p.m. wells be drilled in the Rio Grande alluvium to supply
Little Squaw Resort and sixteen 15 g.p.m. wells be drilled in
the Crooked Creek alluvium for the West San Juan Develooment.
Also, until fully occupied, any water not used by these"two
developments will be diverted by Bristol Heights from Clear Creek
to irrigate pasture land. At full development, the total
consumptive use for the three areas is expected to be 4.5
acre-feet per year. Replacement water will be provided by 5
acre-feet of applicant's rights in the Williams Creek - Squaw
Pass transmountain diversion, and will augment the Rio Grande via
Squaw Creek.

The CWCB hold decrees for two instream flow water rights
which would be injured by this application. The first, on
Crooked Creek (Case No. 83CW050), is for 2 cfs and extends
from the outlet of S Lazy U Rese~voir to the confluence with an
unnamed reservoir on Spring Creek. The second instream flow
right is on Clear Creek (Case No. 83CW051) for 10 cfs (summer)
and 5 cfs (winter). This segment extends from the confluence of
North and South Clear Creeks to the confluence with the Rio
Grande.

The applicant's plan of augmentation replaces water to the
mainstem Rio Grande, but not to the tributaries where the West
San Juan and Bristol Heights dev~lopments will be located.

217
ai/9a

.~ "'__'.J'__"';""'~':"'_

._"-,y~~ ~-- -+ .'--.
