<br />Aqenda Item 21 - Deauthorization of the Craiq Proiect <br />- Appendix M <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />To accommodate travel arrangements for the representatives <br />from Craig, this item was presented for action after Item 16. <br /> <br />The Estey-Simpson Reservoir Project for the City of Craig <br />was authorized by the General Assembly upon the Board's <br />recommendation in 1982 (SB 87). In a letter dated November 9, <br />1984, the city advised that it does not intend to proceed with <br />the project. <br /> <br />In view of the city's plans, Mr. Smith moved, seconded by <br />Mr. Vandemoer, that the Board recommend to the General Assembly <br />that the Craig Project be deauthorized. Motion adopted <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Aqenda Item 22 - Annual Report on Construction Fund Proqram to <br />General AssemblV - Appendix N <br /> <br />Section 37-60-122(1)(a) CRS, as amended, provides that the <br />Board shall submit an annual report to the General Assembly <br />containing its recommendations for.proposed'projects to be <br />financed from the construction fund. Section 37-60-121(1)(c) <br />requires that the Board shall apprise the General Assembly of <br />steps taken to comply with the criteria governing the <br />construction fund program. Finally, Section 37-60-121(4)(b) . <br />provides that an accounting of the personal services, operating <br />and travel expenses of administering the construction fund <br />program for the preceding fiscal year shall be reported. <br /> <br />Pursuant to the above statutory requirements, the staff <br />prepared a draft report for Board review and comments. <br /> <br />Mr. Vandemoer moved, seconded by Mr. Smith, that the Board <br />approve the draft report with the addition of the San Miguel <br />Project - Phase II and instruct the staff to finalize it and <br />forward it to the General Assembly. Motion adopted unanimously. <br /> <br />Aqenda Item 23 - Proiects Authorization Bill and Proposed <br />Amendments to Construction Fund Statutes <br />- Appendix 0 <br /> <br />In reporting on this item, Mr. McDonald stated that he <br />sought and obtained sponsors of a projects authorization bill <br />and had drafted a bill for pre-filing. Representative <br />Younglund and Senator Brandon will sponsor the bill introduced <br />as HB 1042. <br /> <br />As introduced, HB 1042 addressed three matters summarized <br />below: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-20- <br />
