Each delegation member was asked to sign
these letters. For the first time, the funding letter requested money for the San Juan River
Recovery Program. The President's budget request also contains a line-item request for this
program for the first time.

The group also met with Clinton Administration officials from OMB, Interior, Reclamation
and Service officials who continue to indicate an understanding of the need for the Program
and expressed support for the Programs' objectives.

FY 2000 Funding Letters

Rep.
