.jOOO

MR. STAPLETON:

MR. Me CANDLESS:

MR. JENNINGS:

MR. Me CANDLESS:

MR. JENNINGS:

MR. MC CANDLESS:

MR. STAPLETON:

MR. MOSES:

"Mr. McCandless."

"I'd like to ask Bob on this Juniper Proj-
ect what the reconnaissance investigation was?
What did it entail? Did it take in that long
canal, the tunnel and canal, down into utah?
Or did it include an investigation for a hydro-
electric plant and dam?"

I

"Ted, the findings of that reconnaissance
report are essentially what we reported to you,
I think, back in July before the report was com-
pleted. We think it probably should be a stage
type of development with a small amount of lands
developed all in Colorado with a powerplant at
the Juniper site; that later we could have a
chance to look at the larger project including
the approximately 106,000 acres of land of which
about 33,000 is in Colorado and the rest in
Utah. But I think our reconnaissance report
recommends a stage type of development, with
the initial development being essentially the
powerplant and the small amount of lands in
Colorado being the first development."

"Do you have any idea from previous reports
how long it might possibly take the Commissioner
to give his ideas about it?"

"Well, I would be very hopeful that would
be out almost any time now."

"Thank you."

"Any further questions from the Board to
Mr. Jennings? would any members of the audience
like to question Mr. Jennings on any phase of
his report? Thank you very much, Mr. Jennings.

I

There is a report from Region 5 in your
folders. It is my understanding there is no
representative from Region 5 here. It is a
short report and I think self-explanatory. But
I think Mr. Moses has something he'd like to
review in connection with Region 5. Mr. Moses."

"Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Mr. Cornelius
