The Recovery Program will <br />be responsible for the share of costs for the endangered fish pool. <br /> <br />In ~ovembcr 2003, the CWCB approved a loan to the River District for Slt,OOO.OOO for <br />construction of the reservoir enlargement The Recovery Program costs will be satisfied with <br />funds authorized under the long-term funding legislation. Colorado's cost share will come from <br />the state's Species Conservation Trust Fund. Once the reservoir enlargement is completed and <br />the water rights are perfected, 5,000 acre. feet will be permanently conveyed to the C\\TB to <br />maintain instream flows in the critical habitat reach of the Yampa Rh'er. The River District has <br />also agreed 10 perfect and make available by temporary lease up to 2,000 acre-feet of additional <br />water annually for this purpose. The eWCB staffis working with the Department of Natural <br />Resources, the River District and federal agencies acting on behalf of the Recovery Program to <br />develop the numerous legal instruments and the terms and conditions required to implemenl this <br />conveyance and lease. <br /> <br />A proposed "Map" of the required agreements is shown below. The agreements address each <br />entities responsibilities and obligations with regard to the Reservoir Enlargement and water right <br />conveyance.
