Project Type: Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Young Creek Reservoir Company provides irrigation water to a 400-acre service area in Delta County near the <br />Town of Cedaredge. The Company's system consists of Reservoir No. I, 2 and 3, all located on the Grand Mesa. <br />Reservoir No. I and 2 are a combined system that was constructed in the early 1900's, having a 46-ft. dam height at <br />a length of 505 feet. This dam has a history of seepage problems and sinkholes that have been area of concern by <br />the SEa. This project involves the placement of a HOPE liner along the dam face to address both the seepage and <br />sinkhole problem. The project is being designed by Smith Engineering and is anticipated to commence <br />construction in September of 2005. <br /> <br />26. This <br />project involves the placement of 15,500 feet of6-15-inch PVC pipe in the ditch our outlet lateral, to reduce water <br />loss and to produce working pressure for downstream irrigation users. The project is being designed by the NRCS <br />Cortez Office to carry the Company decree of 951 acre-feet to a 1,200-acre service area.
